Beta draft. This page is pending legal review and may change before SummaStack's public launch.
What we collect
- Account details: your name, email address and password (stored by our authentication provider, never in plain text).
- Firm profile: details you enter about your firm, such as size, services, clients and technology priorities.
- Tech stack: the tools your firm uses, plans to use or is replacing, and any satisfaction ratings you give them.
- Content you submit: reviews, listing corrections, and consultation requests to experts.
- Product usage: pages you view and actions you take in SummaStack, such as searches, comparisons and demo requests, linked to your account.
How we use it
- To run SummaStack: recommendations, stack insights, comparisons and your home page.
- To produce aggregate figures such as “% of firms your size use this”. These only appear for groups of enough firms that no single firm can be identified.
- To understand how the beta is used and improve it.
We don't sell your information.
Who we share it with
- Other users see your reviews with your display name. Your firm profile and stack are private to your account.
- Experts you request a consultation from receive your name, email address and message, passed on by the SummaStack team.
- Service providershost and run SummaStack for us: database and authentication hosting, website hosting, and an AI provider (OpenAI) that writes Compare fit summaries from your firm's name, size and services and the products' scores.
- CalCPA and CPAacademy.org, who operate SummaStack, may review beta usage to evaluate the program.
Your choices
- You can edit your firm profile and stack at any time.
- You can ask us to delete your account and the information linked to it.
Contact details for privacy requests will be added before launch.
